When a worker is injured on the job and covered by workmen’s compensation insurance, the individual must follow the sometimes overwhelming procedures in order to receive compensation. If that compensation is denied, a legal action can ensue.
A paralegal can be an invaluable asset in both the procedural and representative process. Workmen’s compensation law is basically a form of administrative representation, but it has become so specialized and document intensive that paralegals are now a major component of the process. As a workmen’s compensation paralegal, you will need strong people skills. You will be dealing with sick or injured individuals who are relying on you to a great degree for their benefits. Being able to keep track of documents is also desired in this area of practice.
Please note that course work will begin after financing enrollment and 1st month’s payment are complete.
