As long as there has been a “master” and a “servant,” there has been conflict. For most of history, the conflict was extremely one-sided in favor of the master.
Today, conflicts between employers and employees are much more balanced thanks to the legal rights that have come into play, especially over the past century.
Employment law encompasses contractual agreements, duties of the employer and rights of the employee, harassment issues, race discrimination, age discrimination, sex discrimination, and sexual orientation discrimination, and, of course, issues related to termination.
