Jennifer Pankowski is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator for Special Education at Pace’s School of Education. Her background is as a childhood and childhood special education teacher both on Long Island and NYC (Brooklyn) from 2007-2013. After completing her Educational Doctoral Degree at Long Island University in Curriculum and Instruction in 2013, she joined Pace where she is responsible for overseeing the proper functioning and quality of the special education program at the School of Education.
Dr. Pankowski’s current research focuses are Autism and the use of mixed reality to assist students in gaining independence in social and professional settings as well the use of kinesthetic movement to improve academic performance.
Dr. Pankowski was recently named to the board of directors for the northeast region of the National Association for Alternative Certification (NAAC) where she also serves as a section editor for the organizations journal.
