Learn the end-to-end process of shooting and developing photographs

About the Class

The demand for digital content and images continues to soar. Professionals must have the skills to develop images that are compelling, consistent, and fresh as well as the ability to enhance, correct, edit, and adjust photos and create special effects. The Certificate in Digital Photography & Retouching is the only course that combines both studio learning as well as post-production techniques using Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom. 61 hours of the class are spent in our state of the art Mac computer lab where students will learn advanced techniques in Photoshop and Lightroom. 24 hours will be spent in a professional studio in NYC where students will get to work with models and make-up artists in the industry to learn basic photography and studio lighting techniques. Students are required to have their own camera.

  • Saturday, February 25th, 10 am – 4 pm
  • Sunday, March 26th, 10 am – 4 pm
  • Sunday, April 23rd, 10 am – 4 pm
  • Sunday, May 7th, 10 am – 4 pm

Required Equipment

  • DSLR camera that has the ability to change lenses and a hot shoe adapter to hold a flash.
  • Recommended lenses. You do not need to buy every lens on the list bring what you have the best value lens for the program will be (85 mm, 105 mm macro, 24 – 70 mm or 24-105 mm)
