Susan Davis has a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Simmons College, a Doctor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland and a Graduate Certificate in Distance Education from the University of Maryland University College. She has twenty-seven years of clinical and medical coding experience in a variety of healthcare settings from hospitals to home care agencies to outpatient facilities.
In her current role as a quality assurance manager for the rehabilitation staff of Maryland’s largest home care agency, Susan is in charge of training, mentoring, and monitoring all rehabilitation staff members on their extensive electronic medical records and billing system. She instructs and guides her staff through documenting in the electronic medical record system, accurate billing processes, maintaining thorough and complete electronic medical records, and ensuring quality improvement measures.
Susan has taught in prestigious healthcare programs such as Pace University, University of Maryland, University of Miami and Logan University for ten years. She also has been developing coursework for these schools and others in healthcare and medical billing and coding.
